Introducing Arctic Ice

I have always been fascinated with the intense colours and patterns of freshwater ice found throughout the Arctic regions.  Turquoise blue hues, deep cracks, trapped air bubbles and encapsulated fish and algae add to the beauty of these ice formations.  Pictured here are a pair of kamiks (traditional Inuit seal skin boots) on one of the thousands of frozen glacial lakes found on Baffin Island in Canada's Arctic. 

Measuring 16 x 24 inches and printed using archival inks and paper, this limited edition print sells for $159 CDN plus shipping.  Each poster will be mailed rolled in tubes (the safest and most economical way to ship).  Limited printing of 50 posters.

Arctic Nights

One of the greatest memories of the north I'll take with me is of the endless evenings graced by the dancing lights over the Pangnirtung Fjord.  This stunning poster captures one of those evenings during the first full moon of 2009.
