Thank you for your interest in Tradewinds Photography. This site showcases stories and images from my twenty-plus years traveling around the globe. Whether I've been sipping tea with Inuit Elders on the land in Canada's High Arctic or photographing the giant tortoises of the Galapagos, I feel fortunate to have experienced some of the most memorable adventures imaginable. It is my hope, and intention, to use these photographs as a means to celebrate the exciting times and extraordinary place we all live in. To often, I've discovered, we rush through life without appreciating the moment for what it is. Navigating through this site should be an easy process (please let me know if you run into problems). Click above on GALLERY for a glimpse of life deep inside the tropical forests of Costa Rica, Bolivia and Madagascar or check out the images celebrating Peruvian culture. I have also included an extensive collection of photographs highlighting the rugged beauty of Canada's Arctic regions, its surprisingly rich diversity of flora and fauna, and the warmth of its Inuit. In the coming month I'll be posting images from from my whitewater rafting and road-trip adventures in the Yukon. In the mean time, check out TALES FROM THE TAT, a blog highlighting my recent 10-day journey down the famed Tatshenshini and Alsek Rivers. I'll also post images from some of the temple celebrations I've attended in Bali as well as photographs from the Galapagos Islands and how to photograph the splendor of fireworks. You'll be happy to know that some of my favorite northern images are now available as greeting cards or as limited edition prints.
